  • Warren Buffet is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Administration. Today, he is considered "the world's greatest stock market investor" and continues to make a name for himself as the world's second wealthiest man.

  • Johnny Carson grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was the former Tonight Show host who was known for his quick wit and his endearing smile.

  • Ted Kooser is a visiting professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and was recently selected as the newest Poet Laureate of the United States. Kooser, considered Nebraska's greatest poet, is the author of ten full-length collections of poetry including Delights and Shadows (Copper Canyon Press, 2004) and (with Jim Harrison) Braided Creek (Copper Canyon Press, 2003), which won the Society for Midland Authors Poetry Prize.
